How fast should I be descending?

    the descent should be controlled.
    Do not worry to much about the speed on squats.
    If your into slower reps, save it for other exercise like hack squats, leg press etc

    Depends what you're training for.

    Current PB's              
    100kg Clean & Jerk
    110kg Bench
    190kg Deadlift
    140kg Back Squat
    120kg Front Squat

    Apparently from having a vid of my squats analysed I have a tendency to "dive bomb" them. Causing me to lose tightness.

    However, to me it doesn't feel like I am dropping not under control.

    as fast as you can handle them if going for power... not dropping so that you are catching the weight at the bottom either but fast as you can while keeping the weight under control... it tends to slow down as you put more weight on the bar and get toward your max...

    As fast as you can whilst keeping tight and maintaining tech. For most this is something that will look 'moderate'. However you want to make sure you turnaround is as fast as poss.
