Squat my way Back !!

A few years back , i was squating 6 plates for 6 reps 240 plus the bar total 260 , and 5 plates for 10 reps , for many reasons i let this drift away to the easy optoion of leg exstentions and leg curls , leaving me feeling an incomplete BB , just recently, i had the old ablum out , and saw the difference in my legs , not happy !!  so here we go started on the long road back , 2day i trained hard,  Squats 5 sets back to four plates for six  reps 180 kg with bar  ,  5 sets leg press , then  5 sets single leg press , 5 sets leg exstentions , 5 sets of leg curls and 5 sets of single leg curls , felt better about  it , i hasen to add , i have been building up to this for a few weeks , now  my goal is to get back to six plates for six reps

Good move mate, 260kg x6 is very impressive! Got any pics of you squatting? How deep do you go?

Many BB'ers seem to underestimate the squat, big shame IMO. Leg Press using FST-7 seems to be all the rage now!

    Hi Badboy 007

unfortunately i dont have any photos , of me squatting never been one for photos in the gym,  , but rest assured if i ever get back to that level of squat , i will post one !! when i squat i have the bar  slightly lower on the traps , just makes it a little bit more comfy for me , i do full squat as low as possible , sometimes i have got stuck down there !!! i always train how i feel , if the leg session don't feel right , i wont push , and cause injury , i will just peg it back a little, getting back to six is ambitious , but i will be more than happy to get 5 plates for 10 , but i have  opened my mouth now , so got to put my squat where my mouth is. a few of the lads at my gym, dont bother with the squat , because they use the Hammer strength squat machine , good machine but , just dont feel right !!

Yes mate- not many people squat nowadays, shame!

I too have the bar quite low on my back on squats, very low compared to most due to my powerlifting background, I tend to rest it on the rear delts, weird at first but infinitely better for me!

    Keep up updated mate!
