Squats - only working my legs?

This is probably a stupid question. But after my squats I only feel any kind of strain in my quads, as opposed to all other areas it should excercise, lower back, abs etc. I'm sure my form is fine. Is this normal?

If you're only feeling it in your quads and not your hamstrings or glutes then I'd suggest you're not going deep enough. Probably same would apply for your abs and lower back because these muscles only really become stressed when trying to stabilise the spine which only becomes difficult when you go low enough.

Having said that, just because you're not getting DOMS in certain muscles is not an indicator that you are not working them.

As CK said it may be a factor of not going deep enough, most people i see squatting think theyre going deep but really arent at all, maybe you are and then if the case then as CK said feeling a sort of pain/pump doesnt need to be acquired

imagine you were taking a **** in a hole, how close you'd want your arse to be to the trench so it didn't hit the back of your boots on the way down....

That's how low you need to go, keeping feet flat.

If you're just starting to squat you may not really be lifting heavy enough to feel it all over - I have recently started doing front squats and am practicing a lot with lighter weights to make sure I get the technique nailed.

If you are squatting in a rack take all the weight off, and have someone let you know when you are actually parallel, and set the safety bars to that level (or the next one down if inbetween) - now do your set and make sure the bar is a fraction off resting on the bars for each rep.
