Stars of Tomorrow Update

Hi All,

just a quick update on the Stars of Tomorrow - to be held on 30th November at the Ocean Music Venue in Hackney. Yesterday I heard back from Carole Edrich, the event promoter, who said that there had been some problems with ticket sales, but the event IS still going ahead and she has been assured by TicketMaster that tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 18th November.

Hope to see a packed venue and looking forward to seeing John guest posing. Look out for me in the intermediates!

Cheers

Thanks....it's going to be a tough show. I know of one guy who is going to be in my class who is 6'3" and apparently going to come in it 270lbs with (so I am told) excellent condition.

i know this is easier said than done but try not to worry about other guys who may or may not be competing... i used to do this all the time but recently have been able to concentrate and focus on myself and that has taken a lot of un-necessary worry off my shoulders. because i gauruntee you bro, that 6'3" 270lb guy will also be thinking about who's gona be lining up against him and no matter how big he is, he will still be nervous/scared..
also mate, i dont know this 270lb guy and wouldnt want to knock the bro, but 6'3" 270lb excellent condition ??? i think we would of heard about this guy a long time ago if these stats are correct, and he wouldnt be competing in a 'stars of tomorrow' comp...
so rest assured, you have nothing to worry about mate...
    go kick some ass ....

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I know you're right about not worrying about anyone else and concentrating on myself and that's what I am going to do. For those of you who don't manage to get to the show - hopefully it will be covered by 'The BEEF' magazine. I'll let y'all know how I get on anway!

    Great advice V
Concern yourself only with what you can control - YOU!
Let the chips fall where they may on contest day.

    270lbs of what?

I have been told by people that have bought tickets that the ticket office is going to be open from 2pm, even though pre-judging starts at 3:30pm. It's going to be a good show....

The show was good although some of the categories didn't have many entrants which is always a shame.

James, I think I saw you, you came 3rd right?

Also gave a big cheer for Phil in the lightweights (another 3rd? I get mixed up)did you hear?!

Well done to both of you and Phil you looked like you were smiling a little better than at leicester :)

Pity there was no womens fitness class (there was bodyfit which is basically their new description of figure) but not fitness. I mean, I do want to win next year but not through a lack of competition!

The womens lightweights there were only two and tbh i thought both of them were pretty poor, but there was a fantastic womens HW class.

Yes, I came third but was a little confused to the callouts in pre-judging you look at result. Thefirst callout was the top three. Then the guy who came second was compared to guys outside of the top three. Then I was called out with just me and the guy who came first. Based on that I was hoping I was in second, or maybe in with a chance of a win. Never mind, no whinging - I went there to do my best and get an invite to the finals in eleven months time, which I now have. I'm planning on adding some serious muscle size during that time, so I'm getting right back on it!! It was my first show in ten years, so I'm reasonably happy. Still waiting to see the pics
