Static Contraction

Has anyone tried SCT workouts? I have the book pete sisco wrote and wondered if its as effective or more effective then traditional free weights... Any info would be great

    I've tried it, don't bother as there are safer more effective ways to train, it's only good for working on sticking points on certain lifts like the bench press.
    it looks good on paper but that's about it.

    You will only get stronger at the particular angle that you hold the contraction at.

    Or stronger at plus or minus 15 degrees some argue.

    Possibly but even so it will not work the muscle through the whole range and is therefore pretty useless

    all the above posts are rubbish.

    it does work, I know, i tried it. I was doing the regular high protein 3 day week workout etc. but the results i got within 2 weeks of the sisco training out-did anything i had done before.

    again i mention i bent my bench due to the immense weights involved, and my size made may giggle like a girl. well worth a 3 month trial, you wont go back.
