Having a rest day today feel like I need it give my shoulders a nice break ill be squatting tomorrow.

Smashing out loads of great volume mate, looking really good.  How are the niggles holding up?


Cheers mate its coming along slowly.
 
My knee is holding up really well surprisingly lol on the flip side my bicep/shoulder can be a little tender every now and then.  I think that's down to the frequency of my pressing ill be dropping that back down to twice a week.



Get yourself a mini band mate and smash out pull aparts every damn day.  Your upper back will love it and your shoulders will be healthier.

Yeah Iv started incorporating more band work in to my routine iv seen how it good it works in your routine I don't actually think iv ever read in your journal about shoulder issues.

Those weights are starting to look a bit tasty bud! What do you need to get weights up to for this comp bud, what events you got?

Event 1 - Press medley, each must be locked out to progress, 1 min
Log - 120KG
DB - 65KG
Axle - 110KG
Block - 100KG

Event 2 - Loading Race, 3 kegs 10m run into Rebel Strength Power Barrow, 15 m run to the line
I- 80/90/100KG

Event 3 - Car Deadlift
I-280KG

Event 4. SUBJECT TO CHANGE!!
DUCK WALK 20M INTO YOKE 20M 60S TIME LIMIT
I-150KG DUCK- 330KG YOKE

Event 5 - Keg Toss
I-4.5M BAR 11-20KG

Got a lot of work to do to hit these numbers yoke and deadlift are going to need a lot of work. I believe i can gett the log on the day with a jerk.

Keg toss will be a complete unknown iv no way of really practicing the event but im going to work on explosive movements so hopefully that will carry over.

I can honestly say after doing a load of them I done 3 x 20 along with face pulls and a lot of bicep stretching my shoulder feels a lot better today.  I did find as the day went on today that my bicep did start to get tender so I will do them everyday.

That was it for tonight have been getting in late most nights.  Tried a bit of low bar squatting not sure if it was low enough though but what I did find was that it felt a lot more comfortable on my back.
 
No training tomorrow night I will be at a boxing event.

Still tweaking my squat technique I think once I had hit my 3rd set it started to feel a bit more natural.
Front squats were a bit of a shock to the system but I will build on these.
Power cleans felt a lot better I couldn't hit 100kg a few weeks ago iv got to get this up to 110kg the replicate it with an axel.
Finished off with a load of banded work for my shoulders.
