Nice work mate, good to see you're getting some hands on experience with some implements.  Can you set up the events or close too?

Cheers mate for the most its holding up good the only issue I have is my knee every now and again it can be a little tender so makes progressing on squatting slow to none existent.

My shoulder has been great as long as I keep up with my stretching and mobility.

The 220kg was a bit of a grinder but managed to lock it out, my technique is starting to feel a lot better.

Im still working on my squat technique iv found altering my foot position to point more forward takes the pressure off of my knee I just need to try and replicate this position every time.

What is the issue with the knee mate?

I used to have patella tracking dysfunction and eventually attributed it to an imbalance in the VMO which was a result of squatting narrow. I wonder if you have the reverse? lol

I was getting pain down the right side of my knee when squatting narrower, iv widened my stance a bit more and dont go as deep which has helped then altering my foot position yesterday helped a bit more.

Squatting doesnt come naturally to me i find it an awkward lift i must have spent years trying to improve it and never have lol.

I was never much for squats either mate.

Do you have flat feet at all? Or wear suitable footwear? This was another one of my issues and found knees suffered as a result. Think of the mechanics of a squat... if the point of contact on the floor is not in line the rest will all be out too. Just another thing you could consider mate.

Flat feet (or feet in general) are not to be overlooked for knee pain.  I've had issue before due to flat feet, now I have to focus on an active foot which pretty much means tension in the foot and in particular the big toe.  This affects how my knees track.  Also "show the groin" works a a good cue for me when in the hole.

That was a good session mate, looks like deads are flying up.

Iv got lifting shoes that I use, I did try switching back to flat soles to see if that made a difference but it was causing more pain.
Its taken me years to figure out where my best bar placement is and that was only the other day so by the time im 50 I might actually find my best foot position.
