Stretch marks

I saw a post on this not so long ago and at that point I was not affected.

Any way I noticed something that looks like stretch marks (scratches) on the front of my shoulders near my armpits this morning.

What I want to know is does the Aloe Vera cream work? And if it does where are the areas most likely to get stretch marks? Should I apply this Aloe Vera stuff every night to prevent this from happening?

Have you tried coco butter? Does it just make them fade away? I got them on by bi's, across my lats and legs. They seem to fade away for a little while then come back and change in colour

Yeah get the Palmers. It's got collagen and elastins and loads of other -ins. It's what my GF used during pregnancy and it did work.

Yep. Palmers Cocoa Butter, but you can't get rid of them completely. They're a sign that you're growing so your training must be going well (unless you only get them round your gut LOL in which case you are either pregnant or a fatty).

Is this good to use as a preventative measure as opposed to correcting what has happened already? i.e. do I have to wait until I see some appear before applying or do you apply all over body every night/first thing in the morning or straight after work out???

Any one recommend a place to buy Palmers Cocoa butter concentrated???

COCO butter is meant to smooth them out and make them fade a bit. To be honest I have never had any success with this stuff, but I hardly ever remember to put it on! When you do, you smell like a chocolate bar, which is nice! I have LOADS of stretch marks on my ass, top of legs and between bicep and delt as you mention. I wouldn't worry bout em', not worth it. Fade with time anyway!

My friend who got pregnent (nothing to do with me I hasten to add) used E45 cream religiously and she didn't get any stretch marks! Her skin is smooth as a babys bum. Lovely

Cocoa without a doubt. My best mates gf had loads when she was pregenant, she applied cocoa butter on the areas during and after pregnancy and her skin is alot nicer compared to other girls Ive seen.

I think the cocoa butter is best used as a preventative measure.it doesn't really help too much once the stretch marks are already there. just apply it to the area where you already have them. as you are getting them. as a preventative measure i would start putting it on the top of your thighs, inside of your thighs and on your buttocks and chest. also on bis and tris. this will hopefully prevent you from getting more.another good idea is after a shower, i normally cover my body in palmers vitamin e oil.

Cheers for all the advice guys.

I will get some of these oils and creams this weekend and see how I go. Hopefully I can minimise what has happened and prevent further ones from appearing.

Hmmm... All this talk of strech marks has me worried! I was out last night with a 'friend' and when I got up this afternoon I discovered loads of 'strech marks' on my back, shoulders and arms... also some bite shaped 'strech marks' on my shoulders and neck! Will coco butter help get rid of these?

We do not forgive. We do not forget.
