Struggling With Deadlift

Hi,

I have been trying to work the Deadlift into my routine and was coping OK with good form.   However, once I get to the stage of adding more weight I struggle to keep a hold of the bar after four or five reps.

The Deadlift itself isn't a problem in terms of back/leg strength but my hands lose their grip resulting in me having to stop before my muscles have been thoroughly worked.

Has anyone else had this problem in the past?   If so, any ideas how I can get around this?

Thanks.

    Chalk, gloves or hooks!

Chalk, if your gym allows it, if not lifting straps.

I find gloves makes the grip harder as your hand has a harder job locking after getting round the bar with the extra thickness.

I ditched gloves and moved to liquid chalk, also changed my grip to mixed (one palm facing towards you and one away) and haven't had problems with grip since.

changed grp to one over, one under. start using straps when you near failure.

you can do static holds to improve grip, things like crushers probably won't help.
