Study at home personal trainer courses

Just after some advice off you lot.

I'm looking at doing a personal trainer course and becoming a reps member.

I just after a course that I can study at home along side my busy day job and once qualified I will be able to join the reps register

With a child due this month I could do with it being as cheap as possible or getting a government grant to cover course fees.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

I dont know about home study but I know you can get a student loan (any age)  for Level 3  which is the personal training course. You can do it at weekends.

Youll need level 2 as well I think but thats the cheaper one but as far as I know you cant get a loan for that one the last time I loooked I dont know if thats changed now.

you can do blended courses whereby you home study however you will be required to attend an assessment centre (usually a local gym chain) to be assessed and for occassional courses.
doubt any do solely home learning but i may be wrong.

I did my course with EIF (european institute of fitness) a few years back. It was 4 months of home study and meeting online with tutors etc then i went to spain (they also had a uk option but i fancied a holiday) for 1 week of practical assessments.
    Cost was about 2300
