A quick 60 minute blast this morning.

BENCH: 5 x 50
3 x 60
3 x 70
3 x 80
1 x 85 x 5

Bought my grip in about an inch each side and I think it helped as I felt next to no discomfort on the shoulder. Still a distinct lack of power but that can be worked on.

PAUSED: 3 x 65 x 5

GHOST BOARD PRESS: 5 x 65 x 5 (forgot the real name of them)

First time doing these without an board and they felt good, definate keeper.

CLEAN(1st Rep)& PRESS: 3 x 50 x 10

Will up the weight next time, really nailing the technique on these and will bump the weight up next time.

I did attempt to do some overhead squats, just used the bar to warm up and whilst dropping the pain in my arm was incredible, felt like an electric shock. Thought I'd really done a number on it, but thankfully after a few minutes it cleared up and I managed to press without any discomfort at all. I had done some waste pipe oh squats yesterday and there was no issue at all, very strange.

Good workout mate, still loving these 531's you're all into - starting mine in a week's time.
What exactly is 'Ghost Board'?

Cheers dude, it's not exactly 531 just mostly 3x8, 5x5 etc.m the ghost board is a made up name as I can't remember the proper name lol, it's just a press to about 3-4 inches off the chest onto an imaginary board. Got them from another journal.

Sounds interesting. I can imagine it really working the tri's considering the short press and hold.

Yea, you can really feel them being worked. The absence of an actual board to briefly rest against does make them quite taxing. A great accessory lift I reckon.

Food this week will be roughly the same as last week. I have swapped the fruit out for a couple of hard boiled eggs.

60-70gr Oats with SS Milk
Whole Chicken Breast and Salad Sarnie with mustard and light mayo
2 Boiled Eggs
Main Meal
Scrambled Eggs

Approx - 1800kcals

Big session planned for tomorrow, and hitting it hard all week apart from Wednesday.

I have a lot of respect for you mate, nailing 1800 calories daily would break me. I'm eating 2500 a day and feel like I've not eaten for years. You're nailing big sessions too, absolute hero!

Thanks mate. Despite the low cals I don't really feel I'm doing myself out of any food. I had plenty at the weekend so will be strict again all week.

Throwing a few squats in tomorrow, going to gently build them up volume wise again.

Cheers Kev. I wouldn't say it's a 100% solution but it definitely felt better.

Good stuff mate. How long do you follow 1800 for? Just in the week and have the weekend off?

Do you look at specific macro targets?

Squat 220kg(3) - Bench 200Kg - Deadlift 250kg - Strict Press 130kg - Push Press 140kg
