Does she realise that she has lost the weight due to a change in diet, not because she has 2 herbalife shakes a day? I will admit that I haven't seen the nutritional info on any herbalife products, but I have seen the profile of juice plus and its f@cking terrible. Why don't these people just go to GN or any other bulk supplier and get a bag of complete meal? It's a third of the price and actually has a decent nutritional profile.

I got my mate to tell me how much it was and it was in excess of £200 a month. Both of them have been hooked in. They've had pretty good short term results but swear blind they couldn't have done it without Herbalife. I've argued that it's self discipline and a sensible diet can have much better results.

It's only been this week that a couple of them have become these 'wellness coaches' and offering advice on Nutrition and fitness. I'm like WTF!!!

I used to train with the main H/L Distributor down here who has done very very well financially from it and is flown all over the world promoting it. People see his success and think after they've had some good results they can get it aswell, but they don't realise that it's themselves who are buying the stuff to sell from him that is actually making him successful.

It's so unregulated it's scary. Pyramid selling I believe is the term.

Pyramid schemes indeed, the ones at the top get richer, and the minions down the bottom of the chain have to do all the donkey work! Complete filth on every level.

Hi mate, just found your journal and caught up with the reading.
You've had some problems with that foot but looking at your most recent post it seems you are largely over the pitfalls that causes. Some nice treadmill work there. Subbing pal.

Has anyone else got mates who have had a little Herba-life Weight-loss and then have become fully self appointed weight-loss and fitness gurus. Fkn scary these 2 I know have admittedly done well from the program but are now 'Official Representatives' giving out Nutrition and Fitness advice..I'm like WTF!!!!!

Yup, a mate from the gym who used to be obese but is now a healthy weight is going around telling everybody that carbs are the devil. According to him carbs equal fat gain, simply because he lost weight by cutting out carbs. Calories in vs calories out? Not even once!

Cheers mate. Yea the foot is thankfully on the mend, still not 100% but it's a year recovery so just have to take it as it comes.

The Winter Strongman Competition was incredible. Meeting your idols is always a rush and watch Eddie Hall & Rob Frampton lift was a privilege. They're both really sound.  Also getting to meet Big Loz and Big Z was the icing on the cake. I'll try and upload the vids but not sure if I can do it from the iPad. Watching them all put their bodies through all that pain and stress is very humbling, a couple of them got injured but still soldiered on.

Back to training yesterday, went well considering my shoulder flared up during the benching. In fact it was a bit of a monster.

BENCH: 3 x 50
            3 x 60
            3 x 70
            3 x 80 x 4 shoulder flared up so dropped down 10kgs
            3 x 70 x 5

CGBP: 3 x 70 - left it there as shoulder just didn't feel right.

WGBP: 3 x 60 x 6 - No issues with shoulder at all

DEADLIFTS: 5 x 60 x 5
                   5 x 70 x 5
                   5 x 80 x 5

First time deadlifting since the back injury in October. Kept it light, tight and fast. My rule is now to only deadlift with DOH grip to stop my body twisting. So when it gets too heavy for my grip I'll use straps. Doing this keeps my form bang on. Loved it though, my back doesn't this morning, it's sore as hell!

MILITARY PRESS: 5 x 40 x 5

PUSH PRESS: 5 x 50 x 5
                    3 x 55 x 5

STANDING SHOULDER PRESS 20kg plate a side: 5 x 5

That was it. Another very enjoyable session, paying for it today.

I shall get round to everyone throughout the day as I'm swamped at work already.

Nice session Deano, z's log lift record may go soon! It is Abit of a shame that edd can't use his legs that much, as I reckon it would be close between the two on a log now if he could push press it.

@ Dave - Cheers mate, slow and steady is the focus. I'm in no rush at all. I'm going to build the deadlifting back up at a snails pace and really get my back as strong as ever.

@ Adam - Definitely mate. If he can just muster up a powerful leg dip on the press he will smash it.

Thanks Floydy. Was a great day mate.

Shoulder just has impingement issues, some days are worse than others.
