Anyone else finding MT difficult to navigate?? Pages are half loading, and it takes an age to actually open any thread?




Yes, been playing up for me all day so far. I've had a couple of 'server error' pages pop up as well so something isn't right.

I had some pretty good gainz tbh mate, no issues with it. I much prefere TEST tho, I'm re-starting to BLAST at the weekend.

A pretty good session that has made the last couple of days hell.
 
10min WARM UP - BIKE
 
BB ROWS:
 
20 x 50kg
15 x 55kg
12 x 60kg
 
RDL:
 
20 x 60kg

 V GRIP PULLDOWNS:
 
20 x 30kg
15 x 35kg
12 x 40kg
 
REVERSE CABLE X-OVERS:

PINWHEELS CURLS:
 
20 x 12.5kg
15 x 12.5kg

Now, it was after these I felt my lower back start to get the pumps, I didn't really think much of it, so carried on.
 
BO EZ CURLS:
 
20 x 17.5kg
15 x 17.5kg
12 x 17.5kg
 
LEG CURLS:
 
20 x 45kg
15 x 45kg
12 x 45kg
 
It was during these that the pumps got very noticeable so I called the session and went home for a hot bath.
 
The pumps got worse throughout the day making mobility a right chore, and quite painfull. Slept well Saturday night but the problem was still there when I got up. I have drank tons of water, tonic water, light stretches, and kept mobile. Got up this morning and the pain seems to have now activated the sciatic nerve in my left hip. It is being a complete arse. Dosed up, and at work. It really sucks, and very uncomfortable but I have to grind on.
 
Anyone else have back pumps like that? I never felt any pull, or strain whilst training so don't think it's an actual injury.

Your frequency has increased. Your rep schemes have gone up. Your split has changed. The erectors are one of the slowest muscle to fully recover in the body so no wonder they are pumping. It’s a protective mechanism to stop you from seriously hurting yourself. You trained back 4 days ago and then again Saturday. You need to build up training and factor proper recovery imo.

A hard massage/ foam rolling will help.

Taurine should also help.

You also haven’t started any princess DBOL or other oral superfood have you? This would make any pumps magnified!

No mate, the big T only.
 
My right side is now fine, it's only my left now with sciatic pulses down through my hip. It's making things very uncomfortable, but knowing it's not an actual injury is very reassuring. I reckon another day or 2 and I'll be ready. My food intake will be be bang on so I'm not overly concerned about losing a day or 2 tbh.

Bro, I've never had anything like them..lol
 
Felt like the whole of the lower back was throbbing, mobility hindered and was paranoid it was about to go into spasm. I think it has triggered my hip problem further but going on how well my right side feels now, I reckon another 24/48 hrs should see me through.

Sounds like a combination of factors.... as per animal's possible diagnosis but compounded by being under extra tension via other minor niggles.

When I used to do lower back work the pump would often mask the sciatica... almost like a cushioning effect? I would not have sciatica until many hours later. If that's the case you may have injured your back or aggravated the nerve right there doing those exercises... just didn't feel it until later when the swelling went down.
 
Only suggestion I can offer mate is avoid sciatica inducing exercises. I know you've had issue in the past mate.

There's definately no injury, my back is absolutely fine now, just the hip which has been the bastard of all bastards the past 2 days and counting..lol
 
Oxman has adjusted my training so fingers crossed this won't be an issue....dun dun durrrrr!!

UPDATE:
 
My back has totally cleared up, no issues with that all, the pump has finally disapated. What it had done is flare the **** of my left hip up, sciatica and swelling which has made sitting at work and home an absolute joy. Once up and moving there's next to zero discomfort, but being desk bound isn't helping at all.
 
BUT...I Woke up this morning and the swelling feeling has gone and the pain has decreased by about half, so very happy. Still not 100% but I think another couple of days and it'll have eased right off.
 
Food intake is bang on, I have given myself a managable deficit to take into account no training, which I'll re-adjust at the weekend.
 
I reckon I'll be back training on Saturday, so until then, it's stretching, and keeping mobile.
