Do you ever see a sports massage therapist or anything like that?




Got the Physio on the 7th Feb mate. This is NHS though, so not holding up much hope. There is a new one in town now, he's also part-time with Crystal Palace FC and is well recommended. Bloody expensive tho.

Last one I went to about my shoulder several years ago didn't fill me with confidence. Ended up paying about £100 for a couple of sessions with a Sports Therapist who did a grand job and had no problems since. He also gave me my first proper deep tissue massage, which is an experience I'll never forget..lol

Cant catch a break with the hip can you mate. Sensible resting until weekend and with any luck rolling/stretching get youbready for a good session

I'm fortunate enough (so far) to not have had any injuries that effect my training too seriously, but if I did I would probably actively seek out someone private who has experience with people who lift. NHS and even some private ones can be very generic, and you need someone who specialises.
 
I did have de quervains syndrome last year which was a real pain though, and I had that done privately (work insurance policy).

 
1RM's @ BW 90kg:
Squat - 170kg / Bench - 120kg / Deadlift - 210kg / Strict OHP - 77.5kg

He does a 4D Postural Screening Analysis to check for any misalingments, I might check that out.

I don't know much about it but I thought it was a myth that your spine could be out of alignment?

What is your goal bud? It’s to get swole or to drop the weight? They are very different things and as much as people say recomp , it’s just not feasable unless you’re banging in grams of tren! IMO

Dropping weight is the major motion romcon movie but my mind is always chasing a swole role in an 80's action flick.
 
The weight is coming off, I can feel a difference already. Tale of the tape tomorrow morning.

Good luck with the tape measure. I love weigh and measure days. Perfect motivation because you either hit your target which drives you on or you fall short which makes you more determined. Win win

I was thinking more about the typical 'I need to go to the chiro and snap my spine back into place' myth but that is a full blown medical condition! Can happen though so there you go!

Really looking forward to this morning. Have decided as the hip pain is a constant now I'm gonna own it and plough on. Didn't follow the program, winged a solid and safe on.

PAUSED BENCH:

10 X 50
08 X 60
06 x 70
04 X 80
02 x 90 X 5

Absolutely fine.

PAUSED CGBP:

8 X 60 X 4

SEATED CHEST PRESS:

10 X 40
08 X 45
06 X 50
04 X 55 X 5

SEATED SHOULDER PRESS:

10 X 25
08 X 30
06 X 35
04 X 40
05 X 45

10mins stretch.

Weighed in and have lost 2.6kgs, measurements had a 3 inch loss off chest and WAIST. Very happy as this week has been diet only.

Another fly by session tomorrow and start the program on Monday. All positive despite the hip.
