Sorry about your uncle mate. Hope it was at least painless for him with all the family around. It's the best we can really hope for ourselves!

Appreciated mate. It was peaceful at the end, god bless morphine...

Another great session, lots done.

LOW INCLINE DB BENCH:

20 x 25's
15 x 27.5's
12 x 30's

SEATED OHP: - RACK

20 x 40kg
15 x 45kg
12 x 50kg
1 x 60
1 x 65
1 x 70
1 x 75
1 x 75

Was waiting for the Leg Press so threw a few singles in. Not too bad considering my arms were on fire from the working sets. Encouraging.

LEG PRESS:

20 x 100kg
15 x 150kg
12 x 200kg

LEG PRESS CALF RAISES - SWITCHED TO SEATED AFTER 1 SET.

20 x 40kg
20 x 40kg
20 x 40kg
20 x 40kg
20 x 40kg
20 x 40kg

Tried them on the leg press but it makes the tendons in my feet feel like they're gonna split and considering I have a few screws in my left foot I resorted to the conventional way of doing them.

PEC DEC:

20 x 70kg
15 x 72.5kg
12 x 75kg

REVERSE CABLE X OVERS:

20 x 12.5kg
15 x 17.5kg
12 x 27.5kg

2km Test - 17:26mins - 222kcals

Didn't set out for anything but after a slow 1km I really ramped it up and pushed to beat the previous time. Beat it by 9 secs, the last km was 7min 14secs which I'm very happy with.

5km Bike - Mountain Course - 5.04km - 135kcals

That's it until Wednesday. Enforced rest day today.

Re: calf presses.... I think sometimes people can overreach the ROM. I know you want a deep stretch, but it's like a pec dec, we could get our arms a lot further back but in doing so you actually shift the focus, the pecs natural ROM is out crucifix, no need to over-stretch. I think the load we can carry force people to actually push the stretch too far sometimes on calves

Does teamox sell t-shirts?

Likewise with the calves I think often people don't go high enough. Should always do a few light sets first IMO so you get the feel of a full contraction. Heavy weights you might feel you are going up all the way but video might show you that it's not!

I'm quite blessed with big calves, so I find pulsing with high reps effective. Definately feel them after a few sets.

Making some good progress in difficult times bud. Like you say it's great to have a goal/focus as even for an hour or two we can block out our worries and things.

Challenging yourself to beat those little milestones when running or riding is brilliant for keeping yourself motivated. I have to be honest and say I personally still don't enjoy the cardio elements of training but I certainly get a buzz from improving on last times efforts. With the weights I enjoy doing them and get the same buzz from progressing so that is still my favourite discipline.

Running shoes are pricey and expect that price to be factored in when going to a place that has 'free' gate analysis. Plenty of people still recommend it though so it must be good.
