Someone else at the Winter Strongman too. Sounds like a great day out.
Good luck with your shoulder mate.

Thanks Floydy. Was a great day mate.

Shoulder just has impingement issues, some days are worse than others.

I get the same thing mate. Different exercises make it worse somehow.

I'd overlooked you had things rolling again up in here, good to see things are moving forwards

Just play it cool, mate. Listen to your body, cos the signs are always there, and you should do just fine

Good day Sir, greeting warmly reciprocated.

Had the impingement for about year now. When It first flared up it was a right fkn PITA, but it just comes and goes now. Some very slight movement in a awkward way can really aggravate it, makes progress with benching or pressing a slow marathon when it starts to hurt.

Agreed mate. Everything training wise has been re-assessed so hopefully training smarter and with more care will see the injuries drastically lessen.

I compare it to building up an empire of millions and then having it all taken away from you overnight. Haha- not quite as drastic but I understand your frustration. I find resistance machines a godsend for this. Not quite the ball-busting effect as the good old bench but they've found a way in to my routine which means I get a solid chest session with very little pain each time.

Never considered further action to clarify what it is?

I had some NHS physio last year who confirmed it was impinged & gave me some different strength rubber bands to work with on various exercises. They do work quite well, but the general remedy from them was stopping benching and pressing..

I just usually stretch the **** out of it before, during and after training mate. I have a 7ft length of 2inch waste pipe at home and my Oly Lifting buddy showed me some awesome stretches with it, and it works a treat.

I feel ashamed to say I missed training this morning. Alarm went off at 05:30 I did the worse thing you can do and turned the alarm off, laid back and thought I'll get up in one minute and then woke up at 7am. I need flogging!

I do that every time I've tried morning training, I've accepted its never going to happen!

Haha, don't worry mate, it happens.

The key is to put the alarm clock just out of reach, so you have to get out of bed to turn the noisy little gimp off.

Usually I fly out of bed, but as it was like waking up inside an iceberg I thought just 1 more toasty minute and then the rest is history.lol
