Telephone & Braodband

Just a moan about Plusnet, it is easily the worst provider that i have ever had, they maybe cheap but the speed and the constant 'freeze' is hard to take. I keep having to escape out and reboot my laptop and still it doesn't work properly.

I am locked in until end of April next year, but won't ever be using them again.

TalkTalk are ok when i had them but BT was the best that i have had alhough some people complain about them.

Never had Virgin and never will as they keep trying to get me to tale all the crap that i don't want or need.

Will probably go back to BT next April.

Virgin is excellent. Hardly any downtime & a fast connection (though it is traffic managed if you download a lot of stuff at the wrong time)

    I have

    50meg cable
    Talk weekends phone

I pay the phone line rental upfront so £10 pm effective

    Total = £20.50 pm

TV is gotton from elsewhere. Full sky package £1.50 pm

Party Boy does that £20.50 include the monthly line rental?

    Yes

I pay it yearly upfront tho cos its quite a bit cheaper £120 for the year so £10 pm effective

    Its not standard pricing.

The idea is never to pay standard pricing. It's a case of ringing retentions every time the contract is up & telling  them I'm defecting to Sky unless they offer me somthing good. - Always have a competitor deal handy to throw at them

we have sky bb and landline. think we pay approx 10pm for line rental, we paid upfront for the year so got it a bit cheaper, we also get free broadband  - retentions deal. i've taken out the unlimited call package (about fiver a month i think), save me so much dosh each month !!!
the bb is not quick, about 8mb but it does for me as sky is reliable and i have a good deal.

Been with Plusnet for a few years now and don't have issues. It's like most things in life, sometimes you get a lemon.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain.
