Testosterone helps anxiety?

What are the views on this guys.......

I am an anxious guy who has just turned 40. I am on 3 different tablets..... Diazepam (Valium) Clonazepam (Klonopin) and citalopram (Celexa) for anxiety. I have been on these meds for years with no great benefits.

I had my Testosterone levels checked a few months ago and they came back at 8.2 (221) so very low, but being in the UK I fall in to the NHS safe zone so they are not willing to treat me.

I am wondering if low Test could cause anxiety, lack of confidence etc?   Has anyone here used Testosterone and found it has actually helped them with anxiety?

Any replies would be great as feeling low as this anxiety is taking over my life.

i was on citalopram for about 4 years man, highest dose was 40mg ed for about 18 months. during that time i wasn't taking gear and i already know i have a naturally low test level anyway

anxiety and depression can be caused by anything but low test levels are not going to help. all i can tell you is that 500mg of test or even 30mg ed of dbol will make you feel like a fookin god and you'll be anything but depressed or anxious.

    Thanks bud.

Think I may start on some Test Prop at say 50mg EOD just to see how I react to it as if it makes me more anxious at least it is in and out of the system fast........Hopefully as you say though, I will feel anything but anxious!  Same as with citalopram.....It has killed my sex drive and put a load of weigh on mid section, although this could be the low t. Trying to cut down on the clonazepam, very hard so taking it very slowly. I read an article a few weeks ago that said guys that were on Test found it easier to withdraw from benzo's, so hopefully it will help with this too :)

personally i'd start with dbol man as it's out your system mega fast and avoids the anxiety of injecting if you're not used to that kinda thing.

if you're cool with injecting then prop 50mg eod to see how you react is not a bad plan at all.

citalopram killed my sex drive too man, i could still get it up - just kinda didn't see the point if that makes sense. i came off it by myself by just tapering down the dose, it's not clever just stopping it so if you're going to come off then advise your doc (i didn't) and taper the dose down. but honestly from a few days into my cycle i felt like a totally different guy. even when i came off cycle, with a good pct and a lot of tribulus i felt fine - always had the next boost to look forward to tho lol
