I think palpatine was still alive or his soul kept alive through the death star and snoak was an image/part of his soul in last film.
I thought last film was lame though so hopefully this one better

    “No ones ever really gone!”

    Sheev’s back!

In the Star Wars expandeduniverse (which isn’t cannon anymore), Palpatine does come back(he had contingenct plans in place should he die.. remember he is Darth Siddious.. he IS THE SENATE! Disney have been known to borrow from the EU. it’s very exciting.. Ian McDurmid came out onstage in Chicago after the trailer was released. I just hope they make it fit well. And JJ can do that.

Wonder how they unfcuk the steaming mess of the last film. Still can imagine how they started this trilogy without any script ideas to where the story was going. It shows here bring back a dead character. Never forgive them for throwing LUKE out the window. All this time and we never got to see what an all powerful Jedi would be capible of
And with JJ at the directors chair again, o hold little to no hope of this, man couldn't write an ending if it depended on his life, it'll be the usual **** from him of more open endings with lots of guess work needed to wort it out.

^^^ lol not a fan then.

I didn't think number 8 was THAT bad. Some eye rolling moments and I definitely liked number 7 more, but on the whole enjoyed it.

Big hopes for Number 9 though.

Other than phantom menace and revenge of the sith, the newer films are gash.
