The Show: 10 weeks to go!!

Hey guys!!

I am new to the forum and decided to start a prep journal documenting my 10 week journey to the stage @ the Ukbff South Coast show, competing in the classic bodybuilding class. I was fairly lean to start the prep and the last few weeks i have tightened up my diet and performed cardio most days to get me in the swing of things. I am fairly light for the weight class limit as am 6'1 but aim to bring the best possible condition i can. Will post some photos below and update these once a week.

This prep log will contain everything pertaining to the show and my build up to it. I did the show last year in the intemediate u90kg but was too tall for the class realistically and got outmassed by shorter guys (even though condition was Ok Imo), but diet/prep was very erratic. This year i have it all mapped out so to speak!!

my training split is:
Monday legs/abs
Tuesday chest/biceps/calves
Wednesday shoulders/tris/calves
Thursday legs/abs
Friday back/calves
Weekend OFF training

Cardio is 45 mins stepmill AM currently, may up nearer to show ie 4-6 weeks out

    Diet (cals/macro breakdown) worked out of myfitnesspal. Heres how it roughly looks atm * i do track everyday to account for any variables/extra food, cheat meals so will print screen my diet with training every night.

    #1: 1 scoop whey / 1 sachet oats in water with 50g blueberries /10g maple syrup and teaspoon splenda

    #2: 125g rice / 1 x turkey steak *add sugar free condiments

    #3: 125g rice/1 x turkey steak

    #4: pre + post workout:
    Pre: 1 sachet oats in water with a banana
    Post: 2 scoops whey

    #5: 1 can tuna/100g+ broccolli

    #6: 2 scoops whey/10g peanut butter

    Monday 12th Feb 2018
    (just under 10 weeks out)

    AM weight: 85.4kg

    Legs/Abs

    Just give a brief overview of what i did:

    -Warmup on stepmill

    Barbell squats x 3 sets
    Leg extension x 5 sets
    Lying leg curl x 3 sets
    Single leg cable curl x 3 sets
    Donkey calf raises (weighted) x 3 sets
    Body weight calf raises x 3 sets (higher reps)

    Legs trained later on in week (Thursday)

    Back in gym later on for 1 hour cardio.

    Diet has been on point so far today, will update later on tonight.

    Thanks mate but ive had some time to think and ive chose to compete in October. Ill still follow on the log, but will be increasing my food for the next 5 months.

    Had a few days to think and still want to go ahead with April. Had a few niggling thoughts of throwing the towel in, but after some good rest and food i realised i was overthinking everything. Simple is best!!
    Consequently, Training is 5 days a week, weekend off with 40 mins cardio a day.
    Ill be back to my regular diet tomorrow!! After some pancakes tonight!

    You are in great shape mate! Especially for a bloke at 6"1. Tall guys have a harder time looking built IMO unless you are just naturally gifted.
     
    You sound like you have a solid plan for April so why not stick with it.
