The Whole Chicken

Hey, pretty much every supermarket these days does there cooked roast chickens, how long do you get to eat one of these round about?
Also if i bought a fresh chicken and cooked it , how long do i get to eat that ?
Thought id go with either one of the two and eat one over every 2 days as an extra protein intake plus its something that i can take for work , and snack on whenever i feel the need... what dya recon?

Yes that would be ok. The cooked ones I don't like to reheat - that's just me. So we get home sharpish and gobble it if we buy one. Any leftovers are taken from the bones and put in a bowl and in the fridge for the next day.

If you cooked one yourself then that would be ok to have for the next couple or three days, but you must keep it in the fridge obviously.

and as a ball park figure ,how much would protein would you say one of those whole chickens holds, i know they differ in size but going off a very rough estimate.

Your looking at around 75g of protein in a medium size whole chicken.

I just bought a cooked chicken from Asda and i've taken 600g of meat off it. Tub'd that up and now have three meals.  Happy days....

Am I right in saying that 150g of chicken is circa 30g protein? So 120g protein altogether.....
