The moment Michael Jackson's life changed

Footage of MJ's Pepsi Ad accident

This event triggered his addictions to painkillers and plastic surgery.

Edit: I'm only posting this as I have never seen high quality footage of this and thought many would find it interesting.

Sure he was a talented artist, but what is it with all this Jackson hysteria?  What if he really was a paedo who built a paedo playtown?  What if he wasn't much different to Glitter?  Might we just say his was the death of a minor Motown figure..?  Certainly an insignificant figure in pop TODAY or just prior to his death.

James Brown after all got no fanfare.  And he was proper black.

I've never seen that footage either, - I heard that he came off the drugs, - especially for the tour.. - so kind of went 'cold turkey'.. - but because of the pain he went back on them - and it was at this time that his health seriously deteriorated

    what a slightly burned scalp?

Hardly a major accident.  A serious one, but you are all speculating if you suggest this was the reason for his alleged drug problems.

The story is that he went on pain killers (only?) because of the pain after the accident.... - but then, never came off them....

Kids, don't drink Pepsi, drink Coke.

Have to agree with Yohimbe in a way, many people go through very traumatic things and don't resort to drugs, but on the same note, many people have much 'lesser' reasons as well, so I guess it doesn't matter what 'caused' a drug addiction, he was addicted and thats it.

    Unaffiliated.

It's hilarious when hes walking and there is like 1 foot of flames coming off his head. It looks like he hasn't noticed and then spins because he panics but looks like he's still dancing.

Maybe he finally round a release from all the stress of fame and so on by using drugs?.

Either that or through his other 'activities'.

I find it ridiculous to think this Pepsi advert drove him to drugs, looks to me like he just had a bad afro day. If anything, his upbringing of being a child star from the age of 5 was more to blame. His whole life he was never out of the spot light.

    Agree.
His problems ran far deeper than an unfortunate accident 25 years before his death.

Who says? Have the results come back yet?? Do you have proof of this or just a nice video of him on fire?

Its seems to me its like when top of the pops got cancelled, everyone moaned you cant do that!
But did they watch it? no but its an insitution ,nostlga

MJ had flunked albums and hide away due to bad press,i can undertsand the shock at his passing but suddenly people want to change things or forget them, which is fine thier choice but no all this poor him it wasnt him ti was the drugs,to me it seem they are trying to first ignore his ways then all of a sudden find an excuse for his odd actions (and other actions)

Its seems to me that the people who have some steak in his matters want to clear his name for a siob stru then can sell and then wash clean all his album flopping ,to aid his kids no just for gain

What ever he did or did not do,he was a flop before he died and the best days were well behind him, what ever gone off they should just let him pass now or it will end up being an ironic death that just gets milked

Everyone has been in shape, but not everyone is IN shape, its about where your going not where you have been.

Jackson was a f*ck up long before this happened, but whether it would have made any difference, who knows?

Let's be honest, that wasn't the first time something exploded too early all over Michael's head.

IMO thats why his kids were wheeled out at his funeral, to validate his cannonisation all for commercial reasons.
