The tediousness of being ill

I got some sort of food-poisoningy thing on Sunday night. Some dodgy barbequed mackerel I think. Nothing major; a bit of nausea, puking, trembly extremities, reluctance to eat anything resembling a fish, etc.

I managed work on Tuesday and Wednesday but today feel cack again.

Sometimes when I'm at work I think about how nice it would be to be at home, lounging around all day. However, here I am however, surprised about how bloody relentlessly boring being off sick is.

What's your routine when you're poorly?

Same as males the world over I suspect; I whinge.  Constantly and loudly, regardless of whether anyone wants to hear it.

Depends how ill I am, internet porn is usually part of my routine, then for the other 23 hrs and 58mins I do something else.

    Sleep.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die

The notion of being in the house on the couch ill never seems that bad, the reality is much different... ok for the first fifteen minutes then boring!

I would tend to flip between lying on the couch, telly on - telly off, make a coffee - pour coffee away as it just doesnt taste right, Xbox on - Xbox off ten mins later as no concentration. and on, and on and so on... i hate benig ill!

come dine with me rocks! I prefer the hour version with 4 people! When they do the half hour shows per person for 5 people it takes too long......gets in the way of my internet surfing and other day time trash tv lol
