'There is no medication for gyno' - my doctor!

Hi guys,

just been to the doc as i have a small lump of fatty tissue under my left nipple. caused by short but irresponsible dbol course 2 and half years ago.
had a gyno op both sides january 2007. not taken anything since but have now had this fatty deposit appear.

i asked the doctor if there is any medication i can take and he said there is nothing... could he have prescribed any meds such as nolva or not.

i asked if it was worth doing a blood test to determine the state of my sex hormones and see if the levels were correct he said no

he went on to say that some people can get gyno just through their clothes rubbing on their skin (like hikers/runners), i dont do anything like that so how can this be, also is it even true.

he is going to write to the surgeon who did my operation to see what he thinks.

however, can you dudes suggest anything in the meantime, i will get hold of nolva myself if thats what i need.

cheers

If it is a fatty deposit, i dont know what you could do? (any other advice lads?)

Gyno is the gland tissue, and i believe a combination of drugs can combat it?
    TIO was researching it recently

mate the thing he says about clothes is total and utter bull****!!

there is nothing he can give you tbh nolvadex helps in the early stages for example on cycle but onced developed for say a few months to a year an operation is the only option.

if it fatty deposits cant that just mean you have put on a little extra weight?

    TIO was researching it recently

    Someone call my name

    DavidT

If there is just fatty tissue there mate and no physical hard tissue below the nipple this is known as pseudo gyno and you doctor is indeed correct that there is no medication for this

My advice to you if you have fat there is cut down to uber low BF levels and if its still there save up for some localised lipo

What im doing is below for my tissue based gyno (i also have fat around the area too which im trying to cut away with a hardcore regime) (i do not recommend this to ANYONE!)

Cabergoline, Raloxifene, Letro, topical transderman DHT + liver support and blood work for 2-3 months

strong as fcuk but its temporary and cheaper than 3k on surgery, if it doesnt shift my tissue based stuff then i will take some money from my house sale and use it for an OP

hey guys thanks for the replys,
just to clarify yeah i had hard lumps size of two pound coins on both sides, had them removed, then all fine until small build up fatty/puffy nip on left side only. so worried it will harden. surgery as an option will not cost me anything it is more a case of convincing them it is causing me anguish which it is, as those of us who have had it know... it can be very embarassing to have a good body except for tiny man boobs. when the doctors say it is common they are correct. but most guys with it have got sh*t bodies anyway (no offence), so it is often probably just as much of a worry as the rest of their fat. i have tried losing weight (1stone in 1 month) and to no avail, i dont want to lose too much weight as it has took me lots of hard work to put it on and i dont like looking like i dont workout when i am fully clothed.

i mean this in the nicest possible way here but simply put, get over it

you dont want fatty tissue then cut down, if you want the illusion of size (not lean tissue making it up but rather fat) then deal with having pseudo gyno. Or just get bigger and stay leaner

DavidT did you get your surgery on the NHS? if so how did you persuade your doctor as mine seems adimant he wont refer me for surgery!

would getting gyno cut out be only option or could you get lipo on it?

Getting lipo without having the gland tissue is a total and utter waste of time.I had it done on the NHS about 3 years ago and if if anything it looks worse. The fat around the area is sucked away which seemed to accentuate the fatty gland tissue.

iopener - i know you were putting it politely mate but i am by no means fat i am 5'11" and 89kg, probably about 12-15% bf, i just feel happier to be honest with a bit more weight on i am not bothered about having abs year round. and i dont believe it is pseudo gyno as i have had an op to remove actual lumps of tissue (not fat) before.
i know it sounds like i am being funny writing this but what i am saying is i am not some fatty who thinks he is big but has gyno! and tis only on only one side

bigbiffa - it wasnt on the nhs it was private but i didnt pay for it, hard to explain and cant on internet, i believe some people have lypo for fatty bits of gyno but mine was hard gristle white lumps about size of two pound coin. if you want to persuade your doctor you would need to be clinically depressed about it which is quite feasible really. i think it is the same principle as a woman having breat enlargement on nhs. it is cosmetic.
dont quote me on that mate as i am no expert none of us are

that is pseudo gyno mate. If you have had tissue removed then pseudo is gyno caused by fatty deposits in the chest

If the tissue has been removed (and they did remove all of it)

Then it is psuedo gyno mate

(just to confirm what TIO is saying )

i dont wish to sound rude, but you keep going on about the same thing. you have some fat on your chest either get over it or diet down, the choice is as simple as that. decide what is more important to you, having tight pecs, or looking bulky in clothes.

why would a docor prescribe nolva (which is a medicine outside their normal field of prescriptions, and usually for women post cancer treatment prescribed by specialists) for something that is not going to respond to it anyway??

if your not going to believe what people tell you, then why ask the question in the first place.

guys i cant agree on the pseudo gyno issue, the proof is i had a gyno, had surgery, and just smoking joints(no aas for 3 years) made it comme back big, and not just fat, the second surgeon i used told me it was gland, i think they try to remove entirely the gland, but it is just impossible, and what's left can grow again !!

gyno is really a bitch, i know a ex junky that has a huge gyno, never used any steroids !!! any hormonal imbalance can create it and an op doesnt protect u for ever !!!

to be honest i didnt expect everyone to jump on my back.... if everyone told everyone else to get over it then what kind of site would this be!

i know the difference between being fat and having gyno,

as i stated in my original post i have tried losing weight, successfully, and the tissue did not reduce or go away as the rest of my fat did.

    cheers anyway

dazc -a friend of mine got prescribed nolvadex off his doctor to help get rid of his gyno? He had gyno from puberty, as you may have guessed it didnt work and he still has gyno now.

has anyone had gyno surgery done on the NHS? just wondering what approach to take as i am a competative bbuilder and they are gona give me the steriod crap as soon as i walk in!
