In Ireland i hate being ripped off all the time compared to other countries, i.e. the price of electronics, clothes, the price of petrol is a joke.

Id imagine England is the same.

not being born when our nation was the the forefront of the world and the proud leader of a majestic empire instead of catching the ar*e end of our slow sad decline into cr*pness with us 20 somethings bearing the brunt of it all.

this thread is already winding me up ...

if the biggest problem we have in this country is "political correctness" - having to slightly adjust our behaviour to avoid offending some others - then I think we must be doing great. I really don't care if it goes too far sometimes, it's just funny.

What is everyone so scared of?

    In no particular order:

    The weather
    The cost of living
    House Prices
    Chavs
    Hoody wearing street rats
    Political Correctness

Given half the chance I would leave this country in a heart beat....funds prevent me from doing it.

we don't have to change our behaviour as 90% of the time people in question aren't offended! Its people like yourself who speculate that someone might be offended and change things when its not required that annoys me!

its funny what winds people up.

I mean, harden the **** up if you hate the political correctness the most. How about the fact that millions of kids live below poverty line? Or maybe that couple thousand pensioners die each winter because of lack of money for heating (ok some progress has been made here)? Or how the health service is being destroyed? Or that your country is actually at war at the moment?

Why get so wound up about small insignificant sh1t! Your life must be really good!
