This is probably a stupid question...

[:0]I calculated that i should be on about a 4200 calorie give or take a few hundred. HOW DO I MEASURE THE AMOUNT OF CALORIES SOMETHING HAS??? When i go to eat a helping of brown rice, how many calories are in the serving? Does everyone faithfully go by, "OK these peanuts have 80 calories for every 8oz (let's say 100 peanuts" Do you guys say "OK well i can only have 200 peanuts about because you don't want to go over or under your calorie mark?

Sorry guys i know this sounds confusing but it's bothering me.

I appriciate all the help i can get! Thanks!

Well, not sure how else you are supposed to work out the calories in a product. That is reading the pack which will tell you how many cals there are per serving, and then work out how much you're going to eat and therefore how much calories you will consume. It's basic maths really! But saying this, you don't need to be 100% dead on with your calorie count per day. If you go a couple over it won't kill you! Just work it out roughly and you'll be fine!

Yeah, that's all well and good, but do they actually use grams in the USA? It's the metric system, and they are imperial!
