u can get it cheaper as a paperback/softback.

its good for showing different exercises and pics of bodybuilders. nutrition info is crap.
overall its ok if you have money to waste.

i bought the musclemag bodybuilding encyclopedia by gerard thorne (or someone) a little while before discovering MT. i now regret buying it because as a source of information, motivation and inspiration this forum is incomparable to those type of books. if you want a book, maybe something like the anatomy type book available from amazon which shows muscles used for different exercises would be much much better imo. or some of the other books recommended on this forum which i have not read.

Well your certainly right about the forum part dude, cept I cant read it whilst im on the crapper !

Can you remember what the other books are?

How can the nutrion info be crap if it worked clearly for Arny? [or is it just outdated or something?]

i would never buy a book written by a pro BBer. they are in a different world mate. anything they do has no bearing on your training:

you know the drill, eat big but clean, drink water, rest as much as poss, train using up to date methods [which means not what he tells you he did in the 70's].

he also used more gear than i presume you do<<Read:most gorillas are capable of handling, nothing by todays standards mind you, scary that.

in terms of nutrition i meant that there is very little specific detail. its wishy washy stuff. eat big, eat clean. blah blah. for nutrition i have heard james's book (slurp- brown nose- slurp) is good and it looks good from reading the contents page. but you wont be able to read that in the loo either as its an e-book unless you print it off. "dinosaur training" gets mentioned alot on here. try a new post such as "recommend me a book about ...."

I've got it, and I think it's great. Most of the words contained in it are fairly pointless, but there's so many fantastic pics of old-school bodybuilders it's worth the money just for that.

    I got it too.

The routines suck but I like the book on the whole.

However, mine has decided to fall apart. The pages just keep falling out and it's not like I read it all the time...
