Time traveling. Forwards or backwards?

If you were given the chance to travel back or forwards in time, which would you choose?

There are conditions though.  If you go backwards you cannot change anything that will effect your future but you can relive a moment or simply observe events.

If you go forwards you cannot change what will happen between now and then  (no lottery numbers etc).  You can observe only.

If you had a 1 hour ticket what would you do?

With all those restrictions it seems kinda pointless either way.

Guess I'd rather go to the future, just to see what lies ahead. What's behind me I already know.

Its about reliving an experience again or seeing the future but it would just be for yourself.

See my great great grandfather/mother get married in 1860. She was 18 when she married and they had 21 children.
Would be cool to see how things were then.

I'd go back to relive times with people who are not around anymore. I'd want to relive rather than observe.

For a real mind fook about what could possibly be possible with time travel......watch Predestination!! The first 30 mins is a little boring but after that when things start to "gel" it's mind blowing!

As its such a small amount of time,i think i would go backwards to relive events.

What happens if I get killed while time travelling?
Game over man, or I pop back to the present?

Ignoring that kind of stuff, forward 1000 years pls.

Time travel SHOULD have limitations, but the ones presented are, to the extreme, moronic.

    Good question, made utterly pointless.

I would want to go back in time as thee have been so many moments I would love to experience again.

As for the future?  Not so sure.

While it would be great to know what is in store what happens if you don't like what you see?

I'd go to the year 3000 or something, would be way more interesting then going back.

Even if every human had died, I'd like to know what earth would be like. Or maybe we'd be living on another planet by then.

I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

A time machine would only allow you to travel back in time to when the time machine became operational:(
