Too Much Weight Gain??

right i am 3 1/2 weeks into my new diet, but i am a bit concerned that i am gaining too much weight for such a short period of time!

my weight on the monday 25th July was 182.4lbs 17.5% bodyfat lbm=150.48

today it is 185.8lbs 18.5% bodyfat = 151.48

so i gained a pound of muscle in three weeks but also gained 2.4lbs of fat....is that alot or is that alright??

i am consuming roughly 3300-3400 calories a day clean bulk, following cashmans routine for begginners and do HIIT cardio on the days i am not weight training.

Do you think i should carry on with that amount of calories or should i drop them too 3000 a day and see what happens?

    Hi,
    On my last bulk the same happened, i was taking progress photos too, and in three weeks i had clearly put on a lot of fat, i'm now cutting for a month and some of it is coming off.

    I think on my next bulk im gonna go much slowly, raise calories by 200 at a time, i'll bulk for 20 weeks and would be happy with 4lbs of muscle if there was little fat added.

    btw, i think doing HIT cardio on off days is a bad idea during bulking, your not giving your body enough time to recover and therefore build muscle, a better idea would be to do low intensity twice a week and maybe one HIT at weekends (assuming work outs on mon, wed, fri)

    yeah i think i am going to change my diet around. i have cut it to 3120 cal on workout days and 3000calories non workout days

    does anyone else think i should stop doing HIIT on my days off.....i think it is fine or am i wrong. surely the body could handle HIIT if your diet and training is correct!!??
