Strongman Sunday

Another really good session.

Log was better, still working on technique, getting easier the more I do it so all is good, only working at 5kg below comp weight so should bode well.

Car deadlift was awesome today, 3 really good sets, felt on point.

Bit of yoke, first time I've touched one in a year and it felt heavy, will come back quickly though.

Stones, massive improvement on last week. 115 went up fairly easy 3 times. 125 got it up to the platform edge 3 times but couldn't get it on top.

Pleased with progress, another 2 sessions to go and I should be in a good place. despite thinking that I might not be ready a few weeks ago.

Cheers guys. I am in a good place for this comp surprisingly.

Skinny log is easier, much easier to get it on your upper chest and use the push form the legs to get it up, the large log is 13-14" diameter and so much more difficult.

Press

Having to move my training days around this week, squats will  be tonight, strongman on Thursday night and OHP at the weekend.

Just did some pressing last night to keep my hand in, try and at least maintain my strength on these. No way I could have done anything else, coming up to 3 weeks cruising now and can already notice a difference in recovery times, hips were very sore yesterday, strength is holding well though.

Very brief, but then hitting volume at 200kg what more do you need to do

That 125 doesn't sound far off, what's making it miss, just gassing out?

Yeh in a comp you'd have lots more rest between events unwound have thought.

How long does a strongman event training session take you?

Squat 220kg(3) - Bench 200Kg - Deadlift 250kg - Strict Press 130kg - Push Press 140kg
