Toughest training sessions

just read in the latest "beef" the profile of a particular competitive bodybuilder and it says his leg sessions consist of, squat 140kg 20reps for 25 sets !!
to me thats insane ! It got me thinking what other crazy routines or training sessions other people must do ?
Whats the craziest most hardcore you`ve heard of or read ?
Or the hardest single workout or routine you can remember doing ?

That is certainly a ridiculous amount of volume, but how 'tough' it would be for the trainer in question is only relative to how strong he is. I mean if he was of comparable strength to say other BBers like Tom Platz who could bang out 230kg for nearly 20 reps, then a 20 rep set at 140 would basically be like a very light warm up set. Doing it 25 times is obviously another matter, but if 140 is relatively light as it presumably is for this person then doing 25 sets of it would seem like the only way to make it challenging, so it really does make you question the worth of this. Why do 25 20 rep warm up sets? Surely just training within a higher percentage of your 1rm closer to failure would make far more sense?
