Okay, as we all know music in gyms is, on the whole, sh*te (especially the big chain gyms - I had a trial membership to Virgin Active when I was in Manchester and I recall them playing just 4 tracks: - Ronan Keating - Life Is A Rollercoaster, Rhianna - Umbrella and the new ones by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Lady GaGa. Rhianna, love, if you want some ideas as to what to do with that soddin' brolly, I'll give ya some!
So I was wondering what we all train to (if anything)?
Personally, I'm fairly eclectic. If I'm doing a hard cardio sesh, then it's usually a bit of hard rock (Aerosmith, AC/DC, G N' R, Thin Lizzy - even Bon Jovi (if they can be called hard rock...) or, if I REALLY wanna push meself, Airbourne (if you don't know of them, go to Last.fm or Spotify and check 'em out. They're basically the 'new' AC/DC but on speed!)) or even a bit of punk (The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers and The Damned being particular faves.)
Or occasionally, I'll go for a bit o' metal (Thunder, Metallica (Death Magnetic's wonderful for a punchbag session - I find I need 'angry' music to get the best out of meself) or even a bit o' Sabbath).
If I want to take things a bit more leisurely, then I find that Pulp or The Killers fill the bill.
I've been told that I have a bloke's taste in music (never thought of it that way, I just like what I like. Lily, Amy, Leona et al, just aren't my thang...).
So, what about the rest of yers...?
