Training tips please
Hi all, I was wondering if you could take a look at my training schedule as below and give me any ideas for improvements? Feeling quite positive at the moment - lost 1 and a half lb this week, seems to be going at a nice steady rate so hopefully it's all just fat!!
Monday - 1 hour of cardio, 30 minute run to the gym, other 30 made up on bike, cross trainer and rower, depends how i feel. Try to keep it steady for max fat burning.
Tues - Personal trainer,we usually do some interval training first on treadmill , a bit of bike and cross trainer - varys depending on what he wants me to do. Then half body weights, i.e back, legs and biceps. 12 reps max, trying to build up weight (example weights, I can incline press 12kg with a spot, 10 on my own, squat 60kg comfortably, curl 6kg, push down 30kg, one arm row 16kg)
Thurs - interval cardio on tradmill, bike, cross trainer, usually about 20 - 25 mins, half before and half after weights, then the other half of body not trained, i.e chest, shoulders (which I hate!!) and triceps (my favourite!!)
Sat - Approx 50 min cardio, i.e. road run, cross trainer. Then a quick full body circuit with about 3 sets of two exercises per muscle group. If I just go out for a road run then I skip the weights as not at gym.
Each session I do abs, even if indoors.
What do you think? Any ideas gratefully accepted, I feel like I'm toning up nicely but want to keep making progress or I'll lose motivation, suppose we all do ey?
