Hello mate...just been having a read through on here...awesome mate and Kudos to you for giving it a go! Awesome work so far mate, will follow with interest.
 
When I ran MK I used 25mg a day I think...didn't notice much from it tbh...just massive and I mean massive hunger lol!

Best of luck to you on this mate. I used to be a nightmare when drunk at a younger age and would do all kinds of stupid sh*t on a dare. Never on the level of a triathlon tho!

Thanks guys.

The swim is in a pool so not to concerning. It's the only discipline of the 3 I can crack out now at a decent pace without knackering myself.


We all know MK isn't something that will suddenly make you feel 'on' and I've only been taking it for 5 days. With that in mind I can't say I have noticed anything positive or negative. Whilst the positives of the compound may not come to light for many weeks I thought I would notice changes in hunger and sleep from the start. Maybe not experiencing them is a good thing as long as it's doing it's stuff.


Going out with the boys tonight. God knows what else I'm going to agree to. Decided to not take mk today and tomorrow just in case alcohol and mk don't mix and to avoid any potential kidney stress.
This will be my last drink before April (that's my plan anyway) so it's good to get it out the way early.

I said earlier that I wasn't officially cutting but truth be told I did think that all this extra cardio would get weight moving.

3 runs, 3 swims, 2 rides and a mini Tri have seen 0.5lb loss lol.
Naturally the distances covered will increase week on week so in theory the deficit will grow but it might not happen quick enough. I may have to drop 100-200 calories a day just to speed things up.

Is the goal not to be as competitive (ie not **** lol) as possible on race day? You’re not just an athlete now billy.. you’re a triathlete! And being in a deficit will not help your cause. Recovery will be affected, the muscle you worked so hard for will be at risk due to the nature of the training. Performance or aesthetics. It would be nice to have both but in your crazy drunkenly agree time frame, imo it’s one or the other! Not to say the training won’t have some added benefit to body comp, but you need adequate fuel if you want to perform well!

Good luck for tonight, i look forward to reading about your drunken planned ascent of kilamanjaro in the morning !

At the moment I honestly don't think I can complete race distance at my current weight. Plan was to naturally recomp but even at this early stage (short distances) I'm in trouble.

I completely agree with you but the practical side of things is outdoing all the theory. My plan is to lose weight at a sensible rate (1.5lb per week) for 10 weeks which will see 15lb come off then fuel the final month to increase performance.

After nearly 10 years in the gym I finally look like a 'normal' person who has been in the gym for 6 months. 15lb risks me looking like a 12 year old boy again but needs must. I will never look like a body builder with my genetics and low test, but at least I will be able to say I accomplished a Triathlon (hopefully).



Just back from a 14 mile ride straight into a 2 mile run. Knackered!

I've always fancied a Triathlon but not sure I could afford it. Is it expensive to start up?


£68 for non club affiliated people. Then I will also have to budget for a cheap Tri suite, googles and some on the go nutrition.
When you break it down it it seems bonkers to do something that I'm not that bothered about which will set me back £200.


In more positive news, I got absolutely white boy wasted on Saturday and I didn't ageee to do anything mad. Progress gentlemen!

I keep telling myself it's because I'm extremely single minded when it comes to all things training and can block out thoughts of good when I'm cutting. Realistically it's probydue to taking a low dose. I was in a mind set to take less for longer but may have to experiment with 20mg to see what happens.
I will decide after Saturday weigh in.


Managed a 3.2 mile run yesterday after weights. I was literally running on beer fumes but it's a slight distance increase.
Tonight will be a swim. Hoping to go further than race distance (600m) to build up general fitness and stamina. Will decide for sure once I crack out the minimum distance that I want to cover.

This whole thing is a personal challenge and I don't mind coming last. Honestly though I am intimidated by friends and family smashing in training sessions left right and centre.

'Bit tired so limited myself to 20 mile bike ride and 1600m swim'

Got that message whilst I was curled up on the sofa nursing a hangover from hell. I felt really good at that point in time!

Keep it up bud. I would probably amp up the supps and the food. Like Animal says it will help build up those race legs!

Saturday update


Pretty pleased with this weeks efforts

Saturday- 14.8 mile ride straight into a 2 mile run straight into a beer fueld day until 2am.

Monday - Pull gym session followed by a 3.2 mile run.

Tuesday - 800m swim

Wednesday Push gym session

Thursday 3.6 mile run

Friday 17mile ride and pull gym session

Weighed in today and I've lost a total of 1lb in 18 days. Really not happy with that. Although weightloss isn't the goal, it would certainly make life easier.

I expected more of a drop in fat so I cracked out the tape measure. I was pleaently surprised at this point.

0.75 inches off the waist at widest point (hips and love handles).

1 inch off the waist at narrowest point.

No change to the flexed arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves a recomp.

Last couple of cardio sessions have definitely shown a slight increase in fitness.

I tend to use Strava as my friends and cousin are on there so we can monitor and compare.

Calories are 2300 (I know I know, even 2700 has me gaining fat too fast whilst bulking, fcuk my metabolism and genetics).

I was intermittent fasting but I now include a protein shake on waking.

Turkey breast, eggs cooked in evoo with wholemeal bread

Oats and protein shake with some raw coconut oil.

Chicken/beef/fish with broccoli and either brown or basmati rice, wholemeal pasta, sweet potatoes.

Greens shake and almond nuts.

Pretty boring but I find it easy to adjust for different goals.

My plan to do a mini Tri every weekend hasn't gone according to, well, plan. I have managed to tag a run on the end of a ride though so I intend to keep that up.

This Sunday I upped the bike mileage and completed 26 miles in the saddle followed by a 2.2 mile run. I was completely bu66ered after the ride but dragged myself round the run literally cursing every step.

Nothing really happening on the mk677 front. I've been on 20mg for a week now with no indications that anything is working. Again, we all know this is not something that makes you feel 'on' but I did expect some changes in hunger and sleep pretty quick. Nada, nout, nothing.
Unless something changes in the next 2 weeks I won't be buying any more.
I do fancy getting bloods done to see if the 'mk677' changes my hormone profile at all. Money is tight so not sure I can stretch to that though.

Which leads me on to life stresses. I would have to start all this whilst being balls deep in a house move.
I've been in my current place 10 years which was my first home. Buying and selling as a combination for the first time and it's pretty stressful. Hopefully all sorted in the next 3 weeks. Swapping a 2.5m x 5.80m garage for a 6x6 so the home gym will be expanding!

A house sale fell through earlier in the year.
This one has only been going on since December 23rd.

I was thinking about bloods to see if anything drastic showed up to indicate the caps aren't actually mk677. If Test is suppressed for example it may indicate a different Pro Hormone.
Every mk log screams 'Hunger' and even with all this extra cardio going on I'm not hungry in the slightest.

Don't waste your money on the bloods mate, it wont tell you anything. Its likely to just be a poor quality MK. If bloods did tell you that you were 'suppressed' (still unlikely) and that its possible that it was a different prohormone then it still wouldn't tell you what it is. So you're better off not knowing and just classing it as bunk gear.
 
Nice big garage sounds nice, home gyms for the win!
