Try this homemade protein weight gainer shake...

1 pint of skimmed milk
1 banana
6 tablespoons of natural low fat yoghurt,
1 or 2 raw eggs
1 serving of a protein based powder (vanilla whey, or egg protein powder)
3 scoops of low fat ice cream (optional for thickness/taste)

Very nice and you won't taste the eggs. I've been doing these shakes for a few years now, a variation of a recommended recipe...

Anyone created something like this before?

Both the yoghurt and ice-cream have lots of sugar.

Some people claim the protein in raw eggs isn't usable.

    Or how about:

    1 pint of skimmed milk
    25g whey
    50g skimmed milk powder

you have about 500cals there! Maybe also throw in a banana or something else for taste.

Hmm, I don't think I would complain too much about 6 tablespoons of natural low fat yoghurt. The ice cream can also be left out. I still think that the bad carb content in this homemade weigth gainer is significantly less than those bought from specialist places.

Very interesting point about the raw eggs though, I did not even consider this...

Also, here in the States its really not a good idea to eat raw eggs...too high of a risk of serious medical consequences.
