UFC Liverpool

Looks like the UFC is coming to Liverpool in May this year with Darren Till headlining.

Who you want to see him fight? Usman is doing everything he can to bait Till into a fight. Then there's Colby who is also in the mix. I haven't really seen enough of Till against high level wrestlers like those two so I don't know how it would pan out for him tbh.

The fight Till seems to really want is Wonderboy which I think would probably be the fight most casual fans want to see because they're both high level strikers and would probably keep it on the feet. It would probably be very entertaining. That said I can't see why Wonderboy as number 2 contender would want to fight someone as dangerous as Till in Liverpool when he'd probably prefer to hold out for another title shot.

Still don't know what to make of Till to be honest. His KO of Cerronne was impressive enough but then again Cerronne has crumbled under pressure before. A fight against Usman or Colby would answer a lot of questions about whether Till deserves the hype he's getting so I'd genuinely be fascinated to watch either of those matchups. Although I'd actually prefer to see Usman fight Colby as they have similar styles, both high level wrestlers with big mouths. The build up would be funny asfeck.

Till v Wonderboy would be a lot of fun I think. It seems that Masvidal has ruled out fighting Till in Liverpool because of the dates which I'm glad about as that would be a bit of a mismatch IMO.  Masvidal is a great fighter but he's a natural lightweight fighting as a welterweight whereas Till is a natural LHW fighting as a welter. I don't think that fight would go too well for Masvidal at all.

All British and Irish fighters look great until they run up on someone who can wrestle or has a ground game. Till is massive for a WW and I rate him highly but given past performances by the Brits I cant see him going to champ level but I could be wrong as he certainly has all the physical attributes and obvious striking skills. Wonderboy would beat him imho it would be the most dull fight with wonder boy just sitting back for a points win.

Nah I don't think Wonderboy would sit back against Till because Till doesn't pose a huge takedown threat and I don't think Till would be afraid to take it to Wonderboy either. They would engage heavily IMO. It'd be a blast, but it won't happen because it's clearly a backward step for Wonderboy. Till needs one more impressive win against a top ten WW before he'd be likely to get a shot at the number 2.

Agree that we still need to see more of him, not fangirling claiming he’s the best when he needs to prove more but I like his attitude and his approach, he seems keen as f*ck to prove himself and willing to fight anyone

Colby not belittling his skill he’s obviously a capable fighter, I just wanna see him get pounded lol

If you think Wonderboy would engage then your not very fight savvy he would grind it out as low risk as possible. Till is very heavy handed and in small gloves you can KO people with even a jab.

Well they're both primarily counter strikers but I think Till fighting in Liverpool would be more likely to go after him. That would definitely prompt Wonderboy to engage because he'd really have no other choice.

Till v Covington would be massive but they could save that and do it on a card in Brazil to make it bigger IMO

Rumor that Till v Wonderbra in Liverpool is on the verge of being signed. If it happens and Till can pull it off he'll be getting a title shot IMO.

I cant see it. Its all risk and no reward for Wonderboy... especially to do it on a fight night rather than a big card

Yeah it's not a done deal by any means but some of the more reputable MMA websites are saying that it's close. If it happens then either Wonderbra sees something in Till that he thinks he can easily exploit or the UFC have offered him silly money. Either that or he's a massive Beatles fan and he just wants to visit Liverpool.

I'd need to see more of them to really comment. The cerrone fight was interesting but difficult to take much from it.

Don't think it'll be a great card as most UK ones are pretty poor

once the lineup is announced ill probably go to this , hopefully its not a fully loaded Brit card , would like to see some of the top fighters , not really drawn in by the names mentioned so far , certainly not Mazany V Lansberg , need some sort of title defence for it to be worth it .

Till v Wonderboy
Gunni v Magny
and perhaps a farewell Bisping fight?

This card might just piss all over the London card a few weeks ago.
