UK meets? Single lifts?

Does anyone know if you can enter in just one or more of the lifts at a particular meet? I'm interested in doing a powerlifting meet in the UK sometime before Christmas but don't want/have time to get into all the equipment before then (bench/squat suits) so was thinking of just doing the deadlift (where the equipment has little impact) to get a feel for competing.

Well mate..here in US they offer single lift events fairly often. My first meet
was a push /pull- dead and squat. You could enter either one or both.
They usually will specify if you can do a single lift in their literature.
I'm doing a dead only next month and a full power(maybe) in Dec 03.
All depend on how my back takes the squatting...been a little rough lately

I suppose you could enter and just refuse to do the others :)

Cheers Tb, maybe next time I'm in the states I'll try to enter a meet whilst I'm there.
