Underwear and/or fitness modelling

I want to do some work as an underwear model or fitness model [or both].

How does one locate the agencies for this type of work?  Google?  Is it generally a London thing?

Any tips on putting a portfolio together?  What about a CV?  I've never done any modelling before so my CV will be pretty irrelevant so would it make more sense to have a little bit of an 'about me' included in a portfolio of photos?  I guess having a website would be a good way to increase exposure?

One of my best mates is a professional photographer so getting photos is the easy part for me!  Was planning to get a few decent duds and copy the poses from images on the net.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Get your pics, have a good variety, locations, poses etc....
Find out all said agenceys or people that would need said type of model.
Fitness mags, suppliment co's anything that may need your look.
Send them your pics, e-mail them your website(once you create it)

IMO it's all about advertising your self.

Wish I had the confidence to even consider such a job.   I struggle taking my shirt off at the beach.

A customer of mine has a son who used to do underwear modelling and the weight they wanted him to be was far too light that it was making him ill. I'd look more to the type of modelling that at least appreciates what we on here would class as a decent physique.

1MR why do you want to do this?
I imagine very few make decent ££ from it.

As above, not an 'easy' industry. Though I guess 'I'm the new Calvin Klein pants model' isn't too shabby a chat up line...

Life experience and the potential to earn a little $$$ on the side really.  Just a 'why not?' moment I guess.

But yeah what should a portfolio look like?  A4?  A3?  Plastic folder?  If I can put more mass on I'd rather do fitness modelling, but then I'd be too big for underwear LOL.

1MR dig up nymjam's old posts and maybe interview. He was a fitness model in his spare time, had been on the cover of Mens Health etc.
