Unload Week?

I was wondering how many people use an unload week when training with a Westside routine or any other similar power/strength program.

If so how often do you usually have it, once every 3 weeks, 6 weeks e.t.c

and how do u structure it...

lower intensity slightly/lower volume greatly

lower intesity greatly/maintain volume.....e.t.c

I like to take a week off and just do cardio things I normally don't have time to do, like squash, swimming, etc.

are you asking me? If so, the answer is: this is my first time, lol!

I hope i had done it a bit sooner though, wasted couple of weeks banging my head against the wall eventhough the signs were all there to have a week off, i was too keen to continue to see them.

I'm starting again on saturday, will take it a bit easier for the first session, but then i'll be back with a vengeance!

...as they say, you have to train hard and smart, and i only have one out of the two in the bag so far, lol!

    I'm getting smarter though, honest!

Tomorrow i'm starting to lift again, can't wait!
