Very confused on routines

I am new to this site but have been training for many years with varying success at different times.
I've been reading a lot of articles , by very respected experts, sugesting I should be training my whole body ie. legs, back, chest, shoulders and arms everytime I go to the gym.
And that split routines with lots of exercises for each body part are only for the most gifted big guys and the guys on the juice.
If this is right, then fair enough, but it means everybody at my gym is training incorrectly.
What do you guys think?

you could if you manage your fatigue well, but its better to change reps up to avoid overtraining and to train different CNS pools like done in the excel sheet provided

personally i like to change my routine around each month, but just try different things and methods and see which works best for you
