Warm Up?

I'm currently doing frankie NY's 5 x 5, and was just wandering what is the quickest way i would warm up? At the moment i just do 3 sets of the first exercise at 25%, 50% and 75% of the weight. I also do 1 set of the other two exercises. To be honest i haven't a clue about warming up, and would really like to get it right to avoid injury. How long should warm up take, as it usually takes me like 20 minutes (i am abit of dozy **** though). I was also wandering if you needed to do cool down exercises? If so, what? or is it just a waste of time cooling down?

I do pretty much as you, 3 lighter sets progressing the weight up on the 1st exercise. After that, with the odd exception if I'm going very heavy, no other exercise gets a warm up.

It doesn't take me 20mins to do 3 warm up sets tho, man, where do you train, a strip club LOL

Do you stretch? I thought you had to warm up the actual muscles not just your body. I don't stretch, only warm up.

Stretch at the end but not the beginning. Warm up sets are sufficient to get the muscle ready to lift
