I think it's important to remind people that just because they are offended doesn't make them right.

It's okay to be offended. Just move on.

Top quality gag in my opinion, too many fairy's around nowadays. Hopefully its just the one bloke and everyone else saw the funny side of it.

We've got a social media style network at work, and I get so many opportunities to take the piss its unreal, but I have to restrain myself incase I upset someone. And I work for a german company, full of german people, its almost laid out on a plate for me.

We've got a social media style network at work too...we just draw penis's on each others vans.

Mint! You have to have banter at work, nothing worse than really boring folk!

Too true i think the danger is, as was suggested earlier, once someone whinges you get crucified, no pun intended. Crazy really, all i put in the posts was literally as i explained earlier, so i wasnt ranting or calling anyone names ( believe it not!)

As someone who really enjoyed comedy growing up, It really saddens me to see how it is pretty much censored out of existence now.

The BBC, which hosted some absolute legendary Comedy  (Monty Python, Not the 9 o'clock news, The Comic Strip,Young ones, Jasper Carrot ... the list is endless)  now sees annoying SJW's calling Donald Trump rude words followed by "Isn't that right Nish?" as their flagship comedy show... along with this kind of crap, of course, you understand none of it can be ACTUALLY funny in case it offends anyone

RIP Comedy.

Totally agree everything is taboo nowadays its like were shamed into silence? Strange times?

I really hope we are about to see a bit of push back on this. Its a small thing but if you are aware of various free speech advocates leaving Patreon (Jordan Peterson) recently due to them banning people as a reaction to lefty twats. I hope we see a push back. I think comedians can and will lead this as their job is being made impossible with all this BS. The

Peterson is my hero i think i loves him!!!
P.s the treadmill quip was just legit meant as banter BM i wasnt intending to actually be shady. Jesus, ill be piping you all off soon...im honestly not bi polar (i think???)

I spent a while watching some of Jordan Peterson's interviews on YouTube, and I like the way he debates.
It's not so much about the points he is trying to make, but more at how skillful he is in not being led off on tangents where his points aren't as relevant, or his knowledge is not up to scratch.  The nature of most of his interviewers is to misrepresent what he is actually saying rather than contest it directly, so it makes for pretty entertaining watching when they realise they are being completely unravelled by him.

The GQ interview was really good. I went to see him a few weeks ago, damn good I have to say.

If that's the full story, then no - I don't see how that could be mistaken as remotely offensive. Although if you're working with the kind of thin-skinned pussies that get offended by such trivialities or are actively look for offence, you're probably better off avoiding any kind of banter with them and keeping it 100% professional.

I actually love him and i wish he was my dad i swear, im not even joking. Ive watched so many of his videos and im dying to read his books but i have to admit there are times where i dont understand what he even means, i can follow it for the most part but hes on another level intellectually obviously and im no scholar. If anyone has any suggestions on anything else i can read or explore to increase my awareness, im all ears or eyes rather in this instance.

That is the whole story mate i can assure you there was no argumemt as such i apologised to the guy and said i hadnt wanted to offend. The main antagonist in fact was just some other non christian person who just jumped on me and said i was a terrible person, i tried to plead my case with him and told him it was absurd that i was being called out like that and i actually just ended up wishing him merry xmas too. What i posted was literally what i posted in this thread and chaos ensued,i couldnt believe it to be honest. Everyone i work with just laughed and agreed that it was silly but i wanted a 2nd opinion if you like?

You've probably seen them before, but I enjoy stuff from Douglas Murray, Steven Crowder ...even Ben Shapiro at times.  Again it's not so much their position in the topics they debate, but more the way they refuse to let their opponents wander off into emotive falsities rather than the points in hand ... Which is a tactic their opponents pretty much rely on.

12 rules for life is a difficult book to read , very obvious when you are reading it but does point out a lot of mistakes we all make daily that leads to unhappiness , I even give in to women when it feels wrong , i know i shouldnt but cant think of the reason why and that makes me look arkward or stubborn , this book fills in those gaps , wish I had read it 10 years ago.

ive seen some Shapiro stuff I like him too, I used to actually read quite a bit. I have shelves of books ive read from psychology, theology to Shakespeare (all pretty basic stuff in terms of the non-fiction) but I cant seem to concentrate now which is why I watch everything my brain seems to process/consume it easier.

something we know are instinctively wrong , but we have lost touch with reality that much we no longer know why , too much materialism , social media , subversion  I have listened tot he book on audible quite a few times and it's something i revisit daily/weekly when put in a stressful spot and need to find reasons to justify my instincts.

I wish I have the brain of JP , but I dont so the next best thing is to have him as my virtual counselor with his books and podcasts .
