Listen closely to everything he says - that's why people at commercial gyms tend to.. shall we say.. suck ass?

Nice vid CF. Only 35 reps with 315lbs at the end though. I was hoping for a decent amount......

Looking at the 'plebs' thread, there's several comments about how it doesn't matter if the gym is full of bicep boys, you should just get on with your workout and forget about the background noise.

Well, perhaps rather than having to endure muppets training alongside you, imagine if the other trainers were all as equally serious as you were about training. That kind of training environment is far more likely to produce improvements than your typical commercial gym. I think that's the point you're trying to make isn't it?

    good vid,
Chris Shurgarts voice at the end reminded me of the 80's ' Denim For Men' aftershave ads tho....

    Nice job Keenan.

Was gonna post it on here yesterday.

I postponed as some brits would not doubt label it as cheese.

I thought it was fcuking immense and the narrative did a great job.

What is that squat bar set at right angles so the plates are moreat waist height rather than shoulder height?

That is a serious injury list- I like lifting heavy, but I'm fcuked if I want those sort of injuries!

    Great stuff.

This backs up my point in the 'plebs' thread- you can't do it alone!

Dave is a good guy and has great insight into PL and life in general.

I don't like multi-ply gear and WPC depth squats, but I love the energy and attitude these guys have.

26- Think its a cambered bar? Lowers the centre of gravity. Popular in US but never seen one used in UK. With regard to injuries, I think they're more likely to be caused by equipment and everything else that comes with lifting in untested feds.

LMC - exactly my point. People who make those posts about how you should be able to make the same progress have clearly never been in this kind of environment; it makes such a huge difference

That weight on a safety squat bar feels a lot tougher than straight weight too though don't forget - I might be able to get 3-5 reps if I'm lucky at that weight hahaha

Brucie - I actually wasn't a fan of the narration either haha; made it seem too much like an Animal advertisement for me. Loved the start though

I think the narration was ok apart from the bit when it started saying stuff like, is Dave motivated by the school bully, the dark days etc etc, was almost a parody!

What Dave actually says though was quality.

Also fully agree with you Cricket, anyone who hasn't trained in this sort of environment doesn't know the difference it can make.
