ive heard that using preperation h, which is a haemmoroid cream can reduce water retention somewhat and tighten the skin up if rubber all over the body think you can get it in superdrug, boots etc

My preparation H joke was missed (nicked from Austin Powers)

When you cut your fluid depends on whether you are sodium loading or not

James - tumbleweed? lol, if only I'd have read it in an Austin Powers voice

BJ - the wine is a mild diuretic (sp). Prep H removes water from under the skin but I'm not sure of the exact mechanism.

A bottle is par for the course. Start with your evening meal and then polish it off by bed time.

ditto this. Alcolhol as zero diuretic effects at low levels so for any effect you need to have nearly a bottle

Totally agree I drink 8-9 litres the day before (of water that is)and cut it at 6pm. Start the wine with the meal. A nice Jacobs Creek does the trick and polish off the whole thing. You'll be getting up every 30 mins to urinate but you wake up dry as a bone. The day of the show I take 1000mg of vitC and suck them without water every hour, this dries you out further
