Water in take?

What should your daily intake be? I googled it and the answer I got ranged from 1-4 litres.

There has been no definite study which tells us how much water / total fluid we should consume in one day.  Therefore, everything you read is merely what people feel is right.

Most people drink far too much water. Sometimes it can be fatal. Google water intoxication.

The body is designed to be at its most efficient when it is slightly dehydrated. Drink when you're genuinely thirsty and you can't go far wrong.

I tend to go off the colour of my pee rather than an arbitrary number. If its more or less clear then I'm happy with that .

    Three litres on non-training days.
    Five litres on training days.
That just about keeps my pee somewhere between straw and brown.
I don't think I could get by on less and I'm not particularly active.

That's the best way and the way that's recommended by health professionals.

One of my pet peeves at the gym is water intake. I have a quick glug at the water fountain maybe 3-4 times during a work out but most of the time I have to wait 3mins while someone fills up their 1 litre bottle for their 20min tv/stair master event. They never finish them but they always fill them up - bonkers.

I drink over a litre in a gym session.
I'm in Nigeria and bottled water is in 75cL bottles I'm easily hitting 8-10 a day but that's more heat than anything else.
