Wearing jeans while working out

Not sure what it is with some other gym members and their dumb prejudice against wearing jeans, personally I feel very comfy in them, especially during winter and with so many metal edges laying around the floor.

The worst of it is, some dickheads who have barely trained 6 months, and maybe chatted to me 2/3 times, seem to think they've earned enough stripes to start ranting about 'Wearing gym clothes' - sorry, I'll wear whatever a fcking like, when you've put in a few years AND added a couple of stones in muscle AND lifting more for DB press than 5Kgs LOL, THEN let's see if you still sing the same crappy song!!

Grrrrr!!

And no, before anyone asks, I always wear shorts when training legs LOL!!!

I forgot half of my kit once, and didnt want to miss a session or go back home, so trained in jeans (was upper body) - didnt affect my workout, but I did feel like a bit of a prune

Once I turned up to the gym and had forgot my bottoms so had to train in my work trouser/jeans, wasn't fun especially as I was training legs.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Get over yourself. Wear what you like and let others what they like, regardless of their experience, size, strength etc...

Unless it's by mistake I don't know why you would wear jeans for working out, I can't imagine it being comfortable at all.

My thoughts exactly. Shorts for me. Any longer leg covering and you're just not working hard enough or you're a bicep boy with sparrow quads.

I find it hard to get jeans that are comfy and roomy casually let alone for training in. I don't bat an eyelid to the few I see who do altho I do imagine that they then remain in the same pants and jeans all day despite having got a sweat up in them

Depends on the gym. Most won't allow it. Others will and tbh wouldn't bat much of an eyelid.

Could Wear a batman style Cape and nothing else and I wouldn't notice or care, none of my business. A bit like people frowning upon the use of gloves, I just don't care

Surprised you could get in jeans with them maoosive legs Blub

Bit of a sore point with me, I'm still wearing 38"'s though I'm now a 34" waist and falling, I started that leg adductor thingy where you squeeze your thighs in, added almost an inch to my thighs overnight (29").  Not complaining as they look fcking tonk in shorts but my neighbour who's a seamstress won't touch jeans.

At some point I need to go shopping for that stretch-denim material, just too lazy to go!!  :)

Actually I got complimented on my gloves last week, though since moved to cycling gloves as they're full-finger.

Though...quite frankly I think a Batman cape would raise a few eyebrows, two of them my own... :)

Why would gyms NOT allow you from wearing them?

Looks a bit odd, but wouldn't understand for banning them.

When you find any stretch denim jeans please let me know where to buy them, could you please mate?
I'm in the same situ as you. 38" waist just to fit my legs. All you get now are skinny jeans I can't even get my foot into!

Won't be wearing them at the gym though. That's just bizarre.
