Weighted Dips

How can I do weighted dips? Nobody at my gym does them but I need to start adding weight to my dips now. I have seen pro BB's using chains but i'd look a bit of a prat turning up to my gym with that.

Try crossing your feet, rest a DB in the gap and hold it there with your legs.

works for me up to a 20kg db and isn't too uncomfortable.

Hope that was a clear explanation!!

at my gym i was the only one who did weighted dips, i didnt care what they think! if your to worried about using a dipping belt you can try shoving a dumbell between yuors legs, but its better to just get a belt!

When you're dipping with a couple of plates between your legs you'll look like a double-hard ba$tard. Would that bother you

Wipe the sand outta yer fanny and get in the f***ing squat rack!

The day I do that it would bloody feel good too...kinda cool to see some weight dangling about between the nads. Ive not seen anyone else apart from me do it at my gym.

    remember -

    use a plate
let it dangle the length of the chain
just pass it once through the centre of the disc and clip back onto belt hoop
(Disc should be between your knees not flat in front of them)

I say this because ive seen people try all sorts of ways to chain that baby on, disc clanging on your balls etc...

Pain is just weakness leaving the body..

Used to use dumbell, then got too heavy (35kg) so swicthed to a belt

    Much much nicer!

And remember, you're not in the gym to look good, you're in the gym to get big!

    Raw dead Lift 320kg
    Raw bench 171kg
    Shirted bench 200kg
    Amateur cage fighter @ 95 - 105kg
