What You Think Of My Diet?

Hi all,

Need advice on my diet, so please advise your advice will most be appreciated.

I have been training for about 20 months natural now, my stats are:

5 ’11 tall, 33 years old and I weigh 12 stone. I have a small bone structure with small joints and I burn fat or can lose weight very easily! I have a very fast metabolism, In other words like a Ferrari burns fuel! When I started I was just over 11 1/2 stone. My goal is to be 13 stone or slightly over. I am after quality muscle, not quantity. But obviously I have to gain weight.

My body type is Ectomorph, but I belive I am not a full Ectomorph because my chest is not shallow, my hips are narrow and shoulders broad. At the moment I have much more muscle, shape than fat. I have stayed lean and quite fit throughout my life doing swimming, bike riding at not so serious weight training. But now I am very serious and committed to body build.

Well here is my diet:

8.30 AM (pre workout)
Weight gain shake 300 calories
1 banana
Half cup of tea

11.15 AM – After workout
1 Protein shake with water
25 grams of protein

11.45 AM

1 ½ cup of oatmeal with 1 1/2 glass of semi skimmed milk
3 large egg whites
1 banana
1 glass of water
2 amino tabs, 1 vit B
1 flax seed tab

3.00 PM

1 can of tuna (30 grams of protein)
2 slices of wholemeal bread
3 hot dog sausages
cup of juice
1 vit C 1000mg

6.00 PM
Weight gain shake 300 calories semi skimmed milk
1 scoop of protein powder
1 egg white
1 banana or some times 1 slice of bread with peanut butter

8.00 PM

2 slices of Cod
Boiled veg
1 juice drink
2 aminos
1 vit C 1000mg

11.00 PM
Protein shake
Approx 15-10 grams of protein mixed with water

Workouts 4 times per week:

Mainly mass building and compound exercise like:

Squats, Bench press, Rows, Dips, curl and hammer strength machines.
Reps are kept to 8 -10 sometimes supersets to failure.

Steroids are on my list, not yet. I am currently doing a lot of research on them for at least 6 months. I have to train hard and get use to heavy training and my diet has to be in order first. But I do know what steroids I will be using when I get to that stage.

Deca, Sustanon, Andriol, clomid and nolvadex I am not to going to get into that just yet. They are just a tool to help me, so I want to educate myself first before I start to use them.

Well, that’s it. So please do advise me on my diet and plan on my quest to get to 13 stone or more!

    ok mate
    nice post
dont like some of the food choices
    hot doga?
    too much powder
    not enough fat
need a slow release protein last thing and ideally, by the looks of it, more protein, you can add flax oil here or milk
low on protein PWO and you may like some carbs there too

    Thanks for your posting ToxicToffee!

I need the extra weight gain to boost my calorie intake, also because I am about 168 pounds in body weight. I gather I need about 200 grams of protein a day to build and repair. With all these meals and shakes I am getting approx 210 grams a day.

The hot dog sausages, are realy just to boost that extra intake of say fat and calories, on non training days I would leave them out and also one protein shake would not be taken.

Oatmeal is the slow release carbs I am getting to help throught the day as energy. If I do burn alot of calories as I sometimes do due my daily activities I would eat a fruit or have an extra banana or peanut sandwich.

Bu I do understand about you saying abit more carbs and fat, I will again try and modify my diet so that I do get these.

Thank you very much for your advice.

    Hi bud....

generally I try and plan diets to include the following

whey in water on waking, PWO and cottage cheese at bed..

In addition 5 more MEALS (not powder) based and built around a protein source

minimum of 5 fruit and veg a day, preferebaly more

1.5g of proten per lb of DESIRED bodyweight daily split over the course of the day.

Use oily fish for one protein source to increase EFA intakes.

Plan a diet to include all type of food groups using portion control according to goals.

As TT says.you seem very reliant on powder n diet posted.....Powder is ok for emrgency and occasional use, but doesnt beat real food IMO.cheesy saying but you need to eat big to be big etc...

For me, when planning diets.these things I have listed are minimum requirements....some ppl may get in 6 extras meals not 5 but I feel this is a sound basic blueprint to work from.

    good luck

If u lose weight easily, I would recommend more calories. If I were u and on that cycle, I would eat until I couldn't anymore. Lots of good carbs, veg, fruit, and especially good protein sources. All those shakes aren't going to do it. I would add some more meals as well.

If u burn fat easily, I would make sure ur caloric intake is well high enough to ensure u have a surplus. Don't waste this cycle.

    Hi Nick,

Thank you for your advice, I think you are right . I have got a lot of powder in my diet. I am going to modfiy my diet plan. The link which TT gave me is quite cool. I think I will base my diet around that.

I think trickassmark, thinks I am doing a steroid cycle (forgive me my friend if this is not so). well just to be clear I am not using any such steroids at the momment. As I stated in my posting, I have to get my diet in order first then the knowledge!

Thank you all for your advice.
