What are you?

When asked what are your hobbies? How do you class your training? Do you reply,

Bodybuilder
Weight training
Going to the gym
Weightlifter
Keep fit, or maybe something else.
Was thinking today, what do i do? And i suppose my answer would be, working out, or anti-aging exercises lol.  Or do they all basically mean the same?

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body... but rather to skid in sideways, totally
worn out, shouting
Holy ****... What a ride!!"

    Depends who I'm talking to.
If it's people in the know or at the gym, I'm "a retired bodybuilder desperately trying to cling onto my youth".
To workmates, friends and family I simply go to the gym for fitness.

I don't even lift. My mum was a champion bodybuilder, hence my muscular look... Is one I use with strangers.

Suprising how gullible/stupid people can be.

Normally I say I'm involved in a strength sport. If they question further I'll explain what Oly/powerlifting is.

    Body Weight - 83kg
    Bench - 145kg
    Squat - 190kg
    Clean & Jerk - 129kg
    Snatch - 98kg

    I get the opposite.
    "i'm an Olympic lifter mate"
"Oh cool, how much do you bench"

I then have to explain that Oly lifters don't really bench, but I do as it's still probably my best lift despite barley doing it. This massively confuses the situation epseically with my poor demonatation of a snatch with an imaginary bar lol.

I always think its funny that people comment that "you're massive." If you have anything above spaghetti sized arms and you're not skinny- fat. My arms are HUGE apparently despite being 17". And if i say im trying to trim down people look at me strangely and say stuff like "but you dont need to lose weight ".
