What car for £4-5000 ?

I am wanting to buy a new car and if truth be known i fancy something a bit rapid for a change !

After going out in a friends Subaru i am seriously considering one of these but the 2000 Turbo AWD UK version which i have seen W and X reg ones with reasonable mileage for around 5 grand.

Any other suggestions of good motors for this sort of price ?(also interested in 1.8 T Golfs!)

So you want something a bit rally like, cause you could always look at the audi quattro's or around those lines.

I just want something noticeably fast! My current car is a 2000 reg BMW 318i and is a heavy sluggish car, looks ok tho !

For £5k there are a hell of a lot of interesting cars out there, depends on your sitiuation with economy, reliabilty etc but an impreza imo would be a good choice.

narrow it down a bit eg 4 seats, ok fuel economy etc etc

    What are VW Corados like?

I think they stopped making them in 1995.

Is there much chance of finding one in a good condition for under £4000?

if it was my money i would go with either an imported scoob or e36 M3 in estirol blue!

No point in getting a uk spec scoob as the difference in power is massive, insuring an import isnt as expensive as it used to be and its well worth it, Ive had both and they were like night and day.
